ファブリックコレクションの中から、かわいいお花柄の生地で姪に浴衣を作ってもらいました。写真撮影をした後、浴衣を着て地元の盆踊りに繰り出したようです、気に入ってくれたようで良かった…私もカンゲキです。

１０年以上前にお仕事をご一緒させていただいたライターさんからご連絡をいただき久しぶりにお会いしてかなったお仕事。１冊まるごと私のイラストで飾っていただき…表紙まで描かせていただきました^_^…何より私のことを覚えていて下さったことが本当にうれしかったです。ハーモニーベルの音色をみなさんもぜひ体験してみて下さいね。

A month since 3.11...

東日本大震災により被災された皆様、そのご家族の方々に対し、

心よりお見舞いを申し上げます。 

皆様の安全と一日も早い復旧をお祈り申し上げます。

東日本大震災から１ヵ月が経とうとしています。

今日も大きな余震がありました…いつまで続くのでしょうか…

この１ヶ月間、私は「絵を描く」ことで心を静かに、なるべく平常心を保てるよう心がけてきました。言葉では上手く伝えることができないままですが少しずつ日常に戻りつつある中で、１日も早く復興が進むよう微力ながら祈る毎日です。

春はすぐそこ…日本中がやさしいピンク色に染まるのが待ち遠しいですネ。

It's been a month since 3.11... Spring is on its way here  and I hope everyone will have a chance to take time and enjoy the pale pink of sakura flowers...

I've been doing a lot of drawings since 3.11. Thank you to YOKO from moleskinerie for sharing my drawings.  My sister has translated the article on moleskinerie into English for me as follows.

People often say they can find peace of mind by writing or drawing in the Notebook. How about you? Today, I would like to introduce the case of Chico Hayasaki.

"Since the day after the earthquakes and tsunami devastated Japan, the media was filled with sad news and images. They just broke my heart so much that I could not keep a peaceful mind anymore. In order to regain my equilibrium, I started to draw these illustrations......more like doodles. ^_^ Just drawing quietly in Moleskine helped me calm down and relax my mind. It seems that Moleskine has always given me a chance to take a step forward.

There will be a long and painful recovery ahead.......people are still forced to live at evacuation sites and are suffering. When I think about the people affected by this disaster, I think the first thing we can do is to stay strong for them so we can use our energy to support the relief effort in the future. I can only contribute in a small way, such as saving electricity for now. But I would like to think of more things I can do as I build up my reserves of energy by continuing to draw in my Notebook.

I hope the life of the victims returns to normal and people can live in tranquility as soon as possible."

My illustrations on a spread in the February issue of  "h i n a m i",  the brochure of ORBIS cosmetics. Worked with my favorite editor and visited their photo shoot for the first time and I had a great time. These pages turned out so pretty with Maya Tanaka, one of the popular beauty model in Japan...She is so cute,too :)

Portrait drawing

I always love to work on my personal art. And it is always a lot of fun especially when it's going to be for my friends.

Katsunori Hoshi has been a good friend of mine for a long time. He produces and writes many great musics and one of my favorite song is  "Song For You"  which he wrote for Misia. You might have listened to this song before since Misia is such a  popular singer in Japan.

Isn't  this song just so beautiful?!

He has created a music for my Flash Animation as well and I hope I wii be able to post about it sometime. For more info about him, please check out  Victor Music Arts, Inc. 

He told me this portrait illustration is on the entrance wall at his house now, SO Happy!!! Thank U Kats :)

オリジナル作品を描くことは新しい発見でもありとても楽しい試みです。そして、それが友達へのイラストとなるとその楽しみは倍増します！

今回ご紹介するこのポートレイトのモデルは私の古い友達、星克典さんです。こちらでもご紹介させていただいたオリジナルリング "Rock Star" はもうご覧いただきましたか…実は "Rock Star" のギターと星のイラストも星さんのイラストを描いていて思いついたものでした^_^!

学生の頃からバンド活動などを展開し、1994年「FILM-FLAM」としてメジャーデビュー。アーティストとして活動後、現在は素敵な楽曲を多数手がけるプロデューサー＆作曲家さんです。中でも私のお気に入りの楽曲はみなさんもきっと耳にしたことのある ♫ Song For You♪  Misiaの美しい歌声と重なっていつ聞いても心地よい素敵な気分へとつれていってくれます。以前私のイラスト動画にもかっこいい音をつけてくれました…そちらのご紹介はまた後ほど…

Rock Star

I am so happy to post about my new jewelry item - the reversible Ring/Pendant "Rock Star" has been added to Art Heaven Works !!! My illustrations this time are Guitar and STAR ☆ Please check out here for more details!!!  These illustrations were actually inspired by a friend of mine who produce and write great music.

Another Experimental Art Project

My rep CWC Tokyo is at  The 70th Tokyo International Gift Show  from Sep.7 (Tues)  to Sep.10 (Fri) 2010.  It is one of the largest personal gift  and decorative  accessory international trade fairs in the world.  I have created an illustration for T-shirts  this time.  How would you like T-shirts like these?   I'd be so happy if you could Please let me hear what you think... Thank you :)
